Ronora is . . . where understanding begins, where a century-old turtle named Moby lives in the lake, a 2-mile hike, seeing the rare Red Lily, the monarch and the woodcock grow and flourish, a Harvest Moon before lodge, a coyote’s howl, a sighting of one’s Self, Believing, while sitting at Grace in the Woods, where no one is a stranger, where there is laughter and tears.
Ronora is a rental facility including cabins and lodging for retreats, groups and more. The camp is nestled on 350 lovely, quiet acres in Southwestern Michigan for you to explore and enjoy. Our 210 acres of nature preserve include a secluded private lake, acres of woods, wildlife, pristine pastures and miles of nature trails. Come and browse through the photos… and email or call us to book your retreat, workshop, camp, wedding, or your family gathering.
Ronora Lodge & Retreat Center is on the site of old Camp Watervliet for Girls founded by Dr. Henry Tatter and his wife Velda Jordan Tatter. In 1988 the property was purchased from Dr. Lonnie Myers by three friends who share a love for the land. We have restored the historic buildings and increased the number of acres, preserving this beautiful natural setting. For the health of our guests and the land, we garden organically. All our effort goes to making Ronora Lodge & Retreat Center a place where, in the words of Dr. Tatter, you can still “feel Mother Earth, sense her balance and find your own.”
