Chestnut Ridge Camp and Retreat Center

We are 362 acres of fun, hospitality, excitement, and growth. We offer group reservations throughout the year, an after school program that pledges outside play, horses for the beginner to the more advanced, and a summer camp program that allows campers to grow in relationship to God and others. Consider us for your spiritual, group, or personal formation.  Chestnut Ridge Camp & Retreat Center was founded in 1959 by the United Methodist Church. Today it is part of NC United Methodist Camp & Retreat Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Chestnut Ridge is an ACA accredited camp located in Efland, NC, offering day and overnight summer camps for campers in K – 12th grade, retreats for all ages, horseback riding, outdoor education field trips, teambuilding, and an after school program. Summer campers enjoy horseback riding, canoeing, ropes course, zipline, archery, swimming, campfires, and offsite adventure trips.
